Grain storage is a crucial part of the post-harvest season, but it can bring its own challenges.

To overcome them and maintain profits, Chad and Ben Johnson, a father-and-son duo, have developed the Grain Weevil. Farmers can use this robot to remotely break up surface crust and ridges in the grain bin without ever having to enter it.

Yesterday, over 600 Monroe County fourth graders from gathered for Farm City Day. Sherri Lay, along with her grandchildren, Nora and Millie, shared the importance of soybeans in agriculture and we provided soy crayons for their activities. Agvocates like Sherri, along with ag events like Farm City Day, are appreciated and needed for sharing how our food is grown and all of the essentials our commodies are ingredients in that we use every day.
