The purchase in 2011 came after the collapse of the economy. The business struggled and the owners sought out a team who wanted to invest and guide it through the collapse. Through the transitions of the company it always remained under ownership of local individuals who are dedicated not only to the great State of Michigan but also the strong community in Jackson, Michigan. The new owners recogni
zed the potential in the foundation and embarked on a journey to reinvent the company while remaining close to the foundation. It was purchased and renamed to Diversified Engineering & Plastics "DEP Engineering" in April of 2011. DEP Engineering is a leader in innovative designs and development of technical thermoplastics products with a well experienced staff. It has an excellent record in innovative design and the development of parts, components, and assemblies for a wide range of applications in a wide variety of industries. DEP Engineering offers full-service research and development from the concept to final production including: 3-D models, prototypes and computer-aided design and engineering. DEPs in-house tooling facility enables us to maintain efficient productions and provide prompt response to emergency needs. Our tooling facilities are capable of constructing new production and prototype tools along with engineering changes and tool repair. Today, our 160,000 square feet of air conditioned manufacturing facilities house the latest in thermoplastic molding technology.
