“Your credit score isn't your financial report card.”

👋🏾 Hey family! Cousin C.C. is back!

And today's lesson might change the way you look at your credit score.

Dang, I Wish Someone Would’ve Told Me That…

Your credit score matters.

But it is NOT your entire financial picture.

A three-digit number doesn't tell me:

💵 How much money you make
🏦 How much money you've saved
💳 How much debt you're carrying
🏠 What assets you own
📈 What you're investing
🎯 What you're building for your future

You can have a great credit score and still be struggling financially.

And you can have credit you're working to rebuild while simultaneously making real financial progress.

That's why I don't want you obsessing over just one number.

I want you looking at the WHOLE picture.

Ask yourself:

How much am I earning?

How much am I spending?

How much do I owe?

How much am I saving?

What am I building?

And yes…

How am I managing my credit?

Because we're not just trying to get a better credit score.

We're trying to build a better financial life.

And family, there's a BIG difference. 👏🏾

“You're paying… but are you actually getting ahead?”

🚨 WIN-WEDNESDAY IS BACK!

Dang, I Wish Someone Would’ve Told Me That…

Let me ask you something, family.

Have you ever made your credit card payment every single month…

…but looked at the balance and thought:

“WHY is this thing barely moving?” 😩

Here's the lesson:

Making the minimum payment keeps you current. It doesn't necessarily mean you're making meaningful progress toward paying off the debt.

Interest can take a bite out of your payment.

And if you're continuing to use the card while you're paying it down, you may be adding new debt while trying to eliminate the old debt.

That's why we need to stop looking at debt as:

“Did I make my payment?”

And start asking:

“Is my balance actually going down?”

This week, check your numbers.

Ask yourself:

💳 What is my current balance?
💰 How much interest am I paying?
📉 How much did my balance actually decrease?
🔄 Am I still adding new charges?
🎯 What's my plan for getting this balance down?

Because family…

managing debt and eliminating debt are two different things.

And I want us to learn the difference.

“A payment isn't the price.”

👋🏾 Hey family! Cousin C.C. is pulling up with your first Win-Wednesday lesson!

Dang, I Wish Someone Would’ve Told Me That…

Have you ever heard:

👉🏾 “It's only $300 a month.”
👉🏾 “Or, your payment will only be $75.”
👉🏾 “Or, we can get you approved today!”

And thought, “I can afford that!”

Hold on, family. 👀

Before you sign anything, don't just ask:

“How much is the payment?”

Ask:

💰 What's the total price?
📈 What's the interest rate?
📅 How long am I paying?
🧮 How much will I pay altogether?

Because a payment can sound affordable while the overall deal costs you much more than you realized.

The goal isn't just to figure out whether you can make the payment.

Ask yourself: “Can I afford the deal?”

Honestly my motto has always been, "If I can't pay cash for it at the moment, I don't need it."

That's the kind of information and mindset Cousin C.C. is bringing every Wednesday.
