In recognition of Women's History Month, our EstateSales.NET team headed down to the Safe House of Southeast Missouri thrift shop in Cape Girardeau to unpack, sort, and stock!

The Safe House was established in 1991 to provide a community for women to live free of domestic violence and abuse. They provide services such as emergency help, shelter, court advocacy, as well as training and education to increase awareness and prevention.

The thrift shop is a destination for people at the safehouse to purchase items they need using a voucher system. Thrift shop sales than support outreach services such as counseling and necessities for the actual house that isn’t covered by grants.

We are a company of helpers, and we’ve recently started looking for ways to help our local community in addition to our customers.

This week we had the privilege of helping the amazing folks at SEMO Food Bank pack boxes of food for Southeast Missourians that are food insecure. It was fulfilling hard work, and we can’t wait to do it again!
