Most contestants know they need to be “unique” in pageant interview.

But that advice is not very helpful unless you know where your uniqueness actually comes from.

Because your story alone is not the answer.

Everyone has a story.

What matters is what your story created in you.

What did it teach you to believe about yourself?

What gifts did it reveal, strengthen, or force you to develop?

What values did it make non-negotiable?

That’s where your real answer starts.

Not in trying to sound impressive.

Not in reaching for the most dramatic part of your life story.

And definitely not in saying the same things every other contestant is saying:

“I work hard.”
“I’m passionate.”
“I care about my community.”
“I’ve been preparing for this all year.”

Those things may be true.

But they are not enough on their own.

If you want to stand out in pageant interview, start asking a deeper question:

“What did my story create in me?”
