Before heading out for Christmas or New Year travel, homeowners often ask:

“What should I check to make sure I don’t come home to water or mold damage?”

Here’s a simple, peace-protecting checklist you can follow:

🔹 Run every faucet for 30 seconds
Look for slow drains or backup—early signs of hidden clogs or developing sewer issues.

🔹 Check under every sink
Even a tiny drip can create mold in just a few days while you’re gone.

🔹 Set your thermostat to 68°F
Helps prevent pipe dew-point issues and reduces the risk of frozen pipes (yes, even in Florida during cold snaps).

🔹 Inspect your water heater
Look for rust at the base or moisture on top—two common December failure points.

🔹 Clear your gutters
Overflowing gutters are one of the #1 causes of interior water intrusion during winter rainstorms.

All of this happened in the middle of 35 straight days of supporting our local hospital through an incredibly large loss for our community — a loss now being turned into RESTORATION, resulting in great air quality and a space ready to continue serving those who require it most.

Today we celebrate Day 40 of showing up, serving, standing with our community, and giving back in every way we can.
