You can blame Google Ads.

Sometimes they deserve it.

But if the ads are sending people to a website that loads slowly, looks old, or makes the next step hard, the ads never had much of a chance.

Buying more clicks won't fix a page that can't close the click.

Fix the handoff.

WORDPRESS ISN'T THE PRODUCT YOUR CUSTOMER IS BUYING.

They don't care what CMS you use.

They care whether the site loads.

Whether they can find the answer.

Whether they trust you.

Whether they can figure out what this is going to cost.

And whether they can hire you without fighting your website.

That's why the WordPress argument isn't really about WordPress.

It's about whether the machine underneath your website is helping the business or becoming another thing the business has to maintain.

Your customer doesn't want a plugin.

They want their problem solved.

They need the problem handled.

Your website should be the same way.

You shouldn't need to learn code.

Understand plugins.

Track security patches.

Figure out why the form stopped working.

You have a business to run.

Technology is supposed to remove work from your plate.
