Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and our freedom. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to live, work, raise families, and pursue the opportunities we often take for granted. Humans are remarkably skilled at forgetting the cost of peace right up until a holiday weekend reminds them with grill smoke and flag emojis.

From all of us at CED Jacksonville, we proudly honor the heroes who never made it home and the families who continue to carry their legacy every day.

The 8th Annual Dylan’s Dream Charity Clay Shoot was truly an incredible event, and I’m grateful to have been part of it both personally and representing CED Jacksonville.

Hearing the chairman speak and listening to Dylan’s father share the story behind this mission was something that genuinely touched my heart. Moments like that remind us why events like this matter so much.

Because of the generosity and support from everyone involved, this year’s event helped sponsor 18 individuals to further their education. That is real impact. Real opportunity. Real lives being changed.

One of the most powerful things about the day was seeing so many people from across our industry come together for a common purpose. Companies that may compete in business day-to-day stood side by side supporting something far bigger than ourselves.

It was great seeing friends and partners from across the industry including Mardant Electrical Construction Company Inc., Joshua Hubbard HEC, Apple Electric, City Electric Supply, and Clayton Rix with Lamp Sales, all showing up to support such an incredible cause.

At the end of the day, business is important, but moments like this remind us that community matters more.

As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you.
