FOOTBALL SEASON…excuse me MARCHING BAND SEASON officially starts this Saturday and I think we’re all excited to watch these dancers give it their all on the field, stands, or even entering the stadium!!

I’m even more excited that I get to travel to some of these games and cheer on dancers I’ve had the pleasure to work with in one of my classes or help them train for their auditions! 🥹

I’m blessed to be apart of their journey and being able to see them flourish!

TIME!

We all have the same amount but the real question is how are you using yours?? School is back in session which means added hours that limits dancers from training.

Ofcourse that’s not an issue because your education is important, no one wants a dumb dancer, but what are you doing when you’re not in school?

Let’s say it’s your last 2 years of high school and you know you need to start preparing for the college team you want to join but when you’re not in school you’re not doing anything! You are literally wasting your time by not putting yourself in a position to train consistently.

This could be going over things you know, learning from videos, joining weekly classes, joining a team, or even booking a coach (😏) Whatever you decide you are now giving yourself the time to train!

So don’t get frustrated when time passes you by and you’re still stuck in the same position! Use your time wisely now!!

Baby!!! Orlando was a blast!!! Every dancer brought the heat and left no crumbs!

Hosting class yesterday truly gave me the push I needed to give you all more pop up classes! I can’t tell you exactly when but I promise they will be coming soon!

In the meantime, I need you to do a few things!!

If you’ve ever been to any of my classes, then you know that this segment is a staple. I love seeing the dancers step out of their comfort zone or into it and make up something on the spot or showcase something they’ve had in the vault.

Not only do I do this for fun but also training purposes. A lot of dancers that come to my classes are on majorette and HBCU teams or aspire to be on one and being able to come up with choreo on the spot is definitely a requirement.

The team may be known for doing popcorn in the stands or they work together when it comes to choreographing a routine or field show. No matter what it is, this skill builds confidence and character.

If you’re coming to my Orlando class this Friday, I hope you have your 8 count ready because trust a believe we will have a quick count session! 🤪🤪

It’s crazy how 3 dancers from 3 different cities and 3 totally different classes said they experienced the same thing 🥹

Teaching isn’t just a passion, it’s a ministry and I don’t take it lightly! Behind every amazing, well rounded dancer is an amazing teacher that puts their all into every session whether it’s a 1-3hr session or years of training a dancer.

I’m forever grateful for every dancer I get to work with no matter how long or short that period is. So dancers don’t take your teachers and trainers for granted (the good ones 🤨) because we want nothing but the best for you!
