We need safe spaces to receive support, ask for help, and grow together.

⚡ I am my own competition.

⚡ The only thing standing between me and my next goal is myself.

⚡ I can create the life I’ve been dreaming about.

Sis, the only person you should be aiming to “beat” is who you were yesterday!

And honestly, if you were focused on your personal growth and elevating your yourself, you wouldn’t have time to worry about anyone else 🤷🏾‍♀️

So if you’re ready to transform your life and become the best version of yourself, it’s going to require you to wake up each day aiming to be better than you were yesterday

Because if you waste time worrying about what someone else is doing instead of what you are doing, then you can’t blame anyone else but yourself when nothing changes.

It’s the personality for me…👏🏾

News flash: business doesn’t have to be boring!

You get to let your light shine in the world and if someone is blinded by it, tell them to grab some shades because you don’t have to dim your light for anyone!

Your ideal clients are going to be attracted to who you are as a person… not just who you say you are as a CEO.

The right people will be aligned with all parts of you… not just the parts that seem professional.

So chileeee, bring out the quirky, fun, and slightly awkward side of you!

The side of business that no one wants to talk about 👇🏾

Can we be transparent for a minute?

The entrepreneurship space is filled with so many amazing business owners and creatives who are doing the dang thang… shoutout to you 😉
..but there’s a conversation that I don’t see talked about alot among business owners online and that’s the exact conversation I want to have today:

How running a business can damage your mental health if you’re not careful 👀

It’s no secret that running a business can add stress to your life, force you to be intentional about your priorities, and cause you to put in overtime often.

And trust me, I’ve pulled my fair share of all-nighters working to complete a project or finish work.

What I didn’t realize was that in the midst of me doing all the things, I put my mental health in a corner and neglected it.

I mean, who has time for self-care & healing when I’m trying to follow my dreams, right?

❌ WRONG

Mental health has got to be the number one priority ESPECIALLY if you are an entrepreneur because let’s be real, entrepreneurship requires a lot from us.

👉🏾 We wear many hats in our businesses.

👉🏾 We still have to manage our day to day lives on top of running our businesses.

👉🏾 We are constantly battling with comparison, doubt, and learning curves!

And on top of all that, we still have to deal with our own personal battles (for me, it’s anxiety).

So in order to combat the inevitable burnout, you have to focus on taking care of yourself first.

Like the saying goes: You can’t pour into anyone else if you’re empty.

It took me forever to truly understand what that meant which means I experienced more burnout than I can count.

Here is a reminder today that your mental health is just as important as making sales in your business.

Your mental health is just as important as that meeting, discovery call, or backend work.

Entrepreneur Roll Call 🗣️

If you’re an entrepreneur or business owner, you know exactly what I mean when I say owning a business is extremely difficult but also super worth it.

👉🏾 There are highs and lows.

👉🏾 There are ups and downs.

👉🏾 There are times where you just want to crawl into a ball and cry your eyes out in the corner.

BUT there are also times where you are filled with gratitude and you get that warm feeling inside that comes only from working for yourself.

Raise your hand if you know the feeling I’m talking about 🙋🏾‍♀️

Being an entrepreneur pushes you to limits you didn’t even know you could reach.

But this is your reminder that everything you really need to thrive as an entrepreneur is already inside of you.

⚡ You have eyes to spot new opportunities.

⚡ You have a heart that is full of passion, love, and determination.

⚡ You have a strong core that allows you to trust your gut and intuition when making business decisions.

I see you showing up every day no matter how hard it is.

I see you working your behind off to create a legacy for your family.

I see you uplifting and inspiring those around you.

And frankly, you deserve to be celebrated for all you do.

This is your permission slip to do something for you today!

Take a moment and celebrate all that you've accomplished and everything you are striving for.

You are a powerful being filled with fire, love, and determination.

You fight through the toughest moments and you put everyone's needs before your own.

Today may feel like just another Monday but sister, you are being celebrated today and every day so bask in the glory.

This may be the hardest pill to swallow in business:⁠

If you serve everyone, you will serve no one!⁠
⁠
Trust me, I know how it feels to leave money on the table.⁠
⁠
But what would you say if I told you that you leave more money on the table when you serve everyone than when you actually choose a specific audience to talk to.⁠
⁠
Not only does refusing to niche down mess with your money but it can also result in:⁠
⁠
🤨Struggling to create content because you're talking to so many people⁠
⁠
😬Burning yourself out because you're doing too many things for too many different people⁠
⁠
🥴Stressing yourself to the max because you're forcing yourself to deal with someone you don't actually connect with⁠
⁠
Honey, I hate to tell you but it's time you run your business in a way that feels right for you...⁠
⁠.. and that starts with serving people WHO actually feel right for you.⁠
⁠
*Yes, we are allowed to be picky about who we work with.⁠
⁠
When I first shifted my business to working with women of color only, I was TERRIFIED that I'd leave thousands of dollars on the table.⁠
⁠
I was TERRIFIED that I'd be doing a disservice to those who aren't POC that wanted to work with me.⁠
⁠
I was TERRIFIED that I would fail and be forced to go back to serving a general audience.⁠
⁠
But when I tell you, my business was even more blessed when I made the decision to serve who I wanted to serve.⁠
⁠
So this a sign - get specific, be selfish with your time and energy, and niche down to an audience that feels connected with who you are.⁠
⁠
I promise you won't lose money...⁠
⁠.. AND you'll feel better about the work you do.⁠
⁠
I worked in my business 5 years serving anyone who would pay me but chile, if I knew that niching down would grow my business, I would have done it a long time ago.⁠
⁠
It makes creating content easier.⁠
⁠
It makes finding your audience quicker.⁠
⁠
Niching down makes you a specialist in that niche and who doesn't love and trust someone who is an expert in something specific rather than claiming to be an expert in "everything".⁠
