June is National PTSD Awareness Month.
This month serves as an important reminder that trauma is a human experience, not a label.
PTSD is often associated with military service, but it can result from many different life experiences, including accidents, medical emergencies, violence, natural disasters, workplace incidents, grief, loss, and other deeply distressing events.
PTSD does not have a gender.
PTSD does not have a race.
PTSD does not have an employment status.
It can affect people from all walks of life.
At BNX Business Advisors, we believe awareness should be rooted in compassion, respect, and understanding. Creating healthier workplaces and stronger communities begins when we recognize that we may never fully know what someone else is carrying.
A kind conversation.
A supportive workplace.
A respectful leader.
A thoughtful policy.
These small actions can make a meaningful difference.
Throughout the month of June, Christina's Corner by BNX will feature a special series of blogs released every Friday focused on PTSD Awareness Month. These articles will explore practical workplace strategies, leadership insights, ADA considerations, employee support systems, and ways organizations can create cultures grounded in respect, trust, and psychological safety.
We invite you to follow along, learn with us, and join the conversation.
Because awareness is not about assumptions.
It is about understanding.
And understanding is where support begins.
