If “Look Ma! I did it!” was a person!!!

I held my first virtual event tonight and it was amazing!!!

I’ll admit I was thinking small when I should have been thinking big…My goal was 20 and ended up with 80 people registered 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Tonight, I shared 3 components of administration that I use daily with the leaders I serve.

1. LISTEN to digest and repeat what you think you heard.

2. RECALL the information in the best suited manner for the leader you serve. What works for one may not work for the other.

3. Use FORESIGHT to think ahead for your leader. Your perspective as an administrator is different, what preventative measures are needed?

And as a bonus, BE CONSISTENT! Change doesn’t happen overnight. Be consistent until the new muscle is developed. And then, keep doing it!!!

Did you know that you are a gatekeeper?

A gatekeeper is defined as a person who controls access.

Beyond the menial tasks of assisting your leader and team. A skill that will make you invaluable is learning how to gatekeep information internally and externally.

There are 3 key components to this…

1. Who needs to know? Determine who your stakeholders are?

2. What info should be shared? Remember, all stakeholders don’t need the same information.

3. When should you share the information? Determine the best time to tell your stakeholders?

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to gatekeeping.

This year’s holiday started with a road trip to Ocala with my longtime friends. Then, I hopped on a flight to Nashville to experience an Opryland Christmas in Nashville!

Today, I woke up in an amazing space and am looking forward to getting home to spend time with my parentals later this week before I hit the road again!

Everyday won’t be perfect but it’s worth it!

Hear me. 🗣Entrepreneurship ain’t for the faint at heart.

There are days when you don’t feel good, someone steals your ideas (that’s a whole different post), they talk about you or just bring you bad news.

You have 2 options for how you respond.

1. Sit down and sulk. Or

2. Take a moment to decompress and laugh. I mean really laugh in the midst of what’s going on around you. Then, get up and get back to it.

Give me a double shot of #2 please! One thing about me is: I’m gonna laugh! Even when I don’t want to. 😂

They say when someone laughs it makes the people around them laugh too. So, no matter what line of work you’re in, when you hit a roadblock, stumbling block or whatever, I hope you take a moment to laugh and then get back to work. 🤣🤣🤣
