🚗 IRS Increases Business Mileage Rate for the Remainder of 2026

Good news for business owners!

The IRS has increased the standard business mileage rate effective July 1, 2026 due to higher fuel costs.

📍 January 1 – June 30, 2026: 72.5¢ per mile
📍 July 1 – December 31, 2026: 76¢ per mile

⚠️ Important: Because the rate changed mid-year, you'll need to keep track of your business mileage for each period separately if you use the standard mileage method.

💡 Tax Planning Tip: The standard mileage method isn't always the best choice. Depending on your vehicle, business use, and expenses, the actual expense method may produce a larger tax deduction.
