Scaling AI isn’t just about investment; it depends on whether your data can keep up.
Dun & Bradstreet’s global survey of 10,000 businesses shows 97% of organizations have active AI initiatives, yet only 5% say their data is ready to scale them.
The gap between pilots and true operationalization comes down to one thing: clean, connected and well-governed data.
As our Chief Strategy Officer Cayetano Gea-Carrasco puts it:
“You don’t need enterprise-wide AI-ready data to launch pilots. But you do need it to scale reliably across mission-critical workflows and systems.”
What we’re seeing:
• 67% report early signs of ROI
• 56% plan to increase AI investment
• 50% cite data access as a top barrier
• Only 10% are confident managing AI-related risks
The organizations pulling ahead are strengthening their data foundations and applying AI where it drives speed, better decisions and less manual work.

Dun & Bradstreet found widespread experimentation and early returns, but few organizations believe they can deploy AI reliably at enterprise scale.
