In preparing your shade structure for Hurricane Irma, Southern Recreation (SR) highly recommends that you refer to the instructional video provided below.
All fabric tops are warranted for sustained winds up to 76mph (hurricane force 1) and for gusts of up to 3 seconds duration up to 90mph. Removal of the shade fabric is required if damaging winds are called for. Damage due to snow and/or ice accumulation is not covered by this warranty. Canopies should be removed during the “off season”.
Southern Recreation highly recommends that all shade owners closely monitor the track of Hurricane Irma and decide when (or if) your shade top should be removed.
SR will not be able to respond to all requests for shade top removal. Please see our video on how to remove the canopy yourself.
There will be a fee associated with the removal and reinstallation of any shade cloth by SR.
SR does not guarantee the timely reinstallation of any shade tops that were either removed by SR or by the owner. We will do the best that we can to address each request.
