🌟 Intern Spotlight: My’Kaylah Alston-Keeley

This summer, My’Kaylah Alston-Keeley joined CSS as our Business Development Intern, bringing curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn into every project.

Throughout her internship, My’Kaylah gained hands on experience across business development, proposal development, AI solutions, procurement research, and strategic growth. Her project work included supporting proposals for Burke County and the City of Hampton, exploring a procurement scanner, and contributing to the CASEY virtual assistant and Assess Your Business tool.

Along the way, she strengthened her technical skills, professional confidence, adaptability, and relationship building while developing a deeper understanding of how research, relationships, opportunities, strategy, innovation, and growth come together in business development.

We’re proud of My’Kaylah’s growth and excited to see how she continues building toward her future in AI and business strategy!

This summer, Dylan Johnson joined CSS as our Technical Writer Intern, using his writing skills to help strengthen how we communicate our work.

Throughout his internship, Dylan contributed to the Q2 Newsletter and CSS Style Guides, while gaining a deeper understanding of how voice, clarity, and specificity shape strong communication. One of his biggest takeaways was that voice is a strategy and that AI can support the writing process, but it does not replace the writer.

Beyond the work itself, Dylan also gained valuable insight from our guest speakers and the different experiences they brought into the program.

We’re proud of Dylan’s growth this summer and excited to see how he continues developing his voice as a writer and communicator!

This summer, Brice Washington joined CSS as our Economic Strategy Intern, bringing a strong mix of economic thinking, strategy, and innovation to his work.
