The 4th Annual Battle of the Badges Charity Softball game between the Onslow County Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville Police Department is set for Friday, November 7, 2025, at Jacksonville Commons Park.

$10 entry and kids 7 years old and under get in FREE! First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and all the proceeds go to the Special Olympics NC

The good news: We are not expecting major storm impacts in Jacksonville from Hurricane Erin. You can save your hurricane snacks (as long as they are non-perishable) for the rest of hurricane season! 🙌
What we are expecting is gusty winds and possible rain bands from the storm. We encourage residents to stay prepared for severe weather, especially hurricanes.⛈🌪 Make sure to follow trusted sources of information for forecast updates and be aware of storm hazards on the coast if you are near the beach.
