Orion Solutions is celebrating 15 years as a leading prime and sub contractor for the federal government. Started in 2006, the Jacksonville, Florida company was founded by Retired Navy Capt. Rick Hoffman and Ryland Reamy as a consulting company and eventually grew into federal government contracts and services. The Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business offers expertise in shipboard maintenance, engineering, vehicle and watercraft maintenance, and tactical training.
Reflecting on 15 years, Rick Hoffman, Orion Solutions CEO said, “July 6, 2006, Ryland and I opened up the office for Orion Solutions LLC. It was just two of us that first year. I continued to do consulting and bring in some revenue while Ryland worked the back office, building the solid foundation for a much larger and more robust company that we knew we would become. Joined by John Carnley the next year and then Bob Schuknecht and Sabrina Abernethy we encountered challenges, setbacks, wins and successes as a team. I could not be more proud of this team and the company we have created together.”
Last year Orion reached their peak employment level with 63 employees and most recently have won a contract providing watercraft maintenance services for United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and won a contract with the GSA MAS vehicle providing engineering services, training services, and vehicle maintenance.
Orion Solutions continues to expand and reach for new opportunities within the Department of Defense, utilizing their extensive knowledge and experience to grow within the Defense industry.
“The one thing that I’m most proud of is our exceptional employees and the incredible services they provide while always treating our customers as number one. Orion has enjoyed tremendous success over the years and we look forward to future growth as we continue to build long-lasting partnerships and broaden our services base to meet the needs of our Defense and commercial customers now and in the future.” said Ryland Reamy, President and COO.
