Think about how much infrastructure exists purely to move water from one place to another. When Lahaina fell victim to ravaging wildfires in August of 2023, locals were forced to relocate and leave their homes behind. As the island recovered, many hoped to come back and start fresh. But they couldn't without water.

To build new there, you must prove you have an adequate supply of clean water. Despite being surrounded by sea, ocean water cannot be used safely without going through the process of desalination. However, desalination severely harms the surrounding ecosystem when brine is released back into the water, leaving limited options.

Other water scarce regions across the world face similar issues as the climate fluctuates and rainfall becomes unreliable. While atmospheric water generation can't solve it all, it can be a key player in helping restore communities like this.

We're officially six months into our research at the University of North Florida (UNF).

Every day, students at UNF are gaining real-world experience with our Wellspring 100 atmospheric water generator. From gathering visual data to emptying the water tank for testing, these students are learning more about water sustainability each day.

For us, we've been able to learn more about our AWG's performance across different atmospheric conditions. We found that our water remains exceedingly pure - no PFAS, PFOAs, bacterial, or viral contaminants whatsoever, even in Florida's peak pollen season.

It's a win-win situation, and it's just getting started.
