Cool stuff coming from Ellicottville Sportsmen's Club

HELP US PLAN - We’re researching if there is interest in a women’s only pistol range session of skills, drills and just open practice time. It could operate on a weekday evening or on a weekend. It might be scheduled weekly or monthly.

I’m happy to announce another successful pistol permit class is in the books at Ellicottville Sportsmen's Club this past weekend. A sold out class that was eager to learn and was a true pleasure to be with for two days. RAS Group courses are always the closest you will get to working while having fun.

We have another course coming up in June for Ellicottville and also our first pistol permit course happening in May at Westfield Fish and Game Club. Make sure to check out the website to see what dates fit your schedule and get signed up as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out, classes are filling faster than usual. Hello Everyone! Some quick updates:

The April pistol permit class has 4 spots remaining as of today. So, if you wanted to get in on a permit class don’t hesitate. But if you’re not quite ready, don’t worry.

The next class in Ellicottville will be June 13/14 and we will also be having the our first ever class at Westfield Fish and Game club May 8/9. We’re very excited to keep getting permits in the hands of great New York residents.

The February pistol permit class is in the books and the group of students we had did not disappoint at all. April is on track to be an awesome time and is already almost half full! Don’t wait on getting your pistol permit course checked off your list. The pistol permit courses have been updated on the website and are ready to roll.

Target transitions

This is one of my stages from Florida State this year, ran in the same style I ran most of the stages. Which is the “don’t do it like I just did it” style. However, still some highlights to be had.

Most of my blending and transitions on this stage I wasn’t mad at. This was one of those things that just took me a while to really grasp and understand when I first learned about it. The fact that my visual aggression and patience alike have started to self correct over the last year was a welcome improvement.

The reality is that transitions are a great place to isolate and give bandwidth. You really don’t appreciate how much time is saved until you look back at old match data and video and compare it to where you’re at now.

I’m excited to share some details on specific things in the coming weeks that helped me and that I subsequently use to help my students. Stay safe and stay trained.

We’re coming up on just about 1 week until the next pistol permit class at Ellicottville Sportsmen's Club is a go! You won’t to miss this.

We’ve had the best pistol permit class around. Now, we will be ramping it up even better. One of the biggest complaints we hear is people wish they could shoot more. We get it. With our new in-class offering, now you can. This gives us the chance to keep costs extremely low for those who want to maintain what RAS Group already gives them while also offering the chance to get more rounds down range for those who want to. All still at an affordable rate even with the added option.

In addition to pistol permit, next class coming up February 21-22nd by the way, the biggest thing we do is private coaching and personal skill development.
