Last call for frozen semen AI’s here at RBV Quarter Horses LLC and Blue Oaks Stallion Station!

At the end of this month we will be transitioning to our late season schedule and will not be able to accommodate mares for frozen AI.

We will still have some limited availability for fresh cooled and fresh on farm mares.
Call ahead before your mare is due for an ovulation!

Y’all… This little black dot on the screen here is more than just black dot. That’s a 13 day old embryo in one of our blue roan foundation mares.
Who’s the sire you might ask?
Well it’s none other than Rowdy Blu Valentine!
This is the first pregnancy he’s sired here since his passing on Feb 14th 2025.
We plan on producing one foal per year from his frozen semen and offering them to the public as a “Legacy Foal”.
Rowdy lives on!

We’ve added a second new large MVE frozen semen storage tank to our lab. This gives us another 5000 straw storage capacity. It feels great to be constantly updating and upgrading our lab facility to continue serving our clients with the best products and services possible.

This brings our total frozen semen storage capacity to nearly 11,000 straws.

MVE tanks are the best in the industry.

Our Jr stallion RBV Rowdy Blu Too is off to an excellent start this breeding season. He’s giving his best numbers to date. Today’s collection tested at 416 million per mL. He’s available for outside mares!

Truly the end of an era…

Starting in a couple of days we’ll start tracking our broodmare’s cycles to be bred to Rowdy for the last time. With 70+ foals on the ground these will be his last home raised babies, I’ll be calling these 2025 breedings Rowdy’s legacy foals.

After 18 years of Rowdy being my best friend in this whole world, the miles, the shows, the wins and losses his time on this earth is coming to a close. I plan to keep him as comfortable as I can through the spring and breeding season then allow him to peacefully cross the rainbow bridge when the time is right. He’s been struggling with arthritis from being a rope horse most of his life.

Thank you to all of our many friends and followers, you guys have made a lasting impact on both of us. If you’ve ever considered having a son or daughter of Rowdy’s, this is your last chance.

I do have several hundred straws of him frozen and tucked away for the future, so we can still enjoy a Rowdy baby from time to time.
