B&B Lumber Company Inc. – Fire Update

We experienced a large wood fire last night at our Jamesville Campus. We are very grateful to report that no one was injured during the fire.

While we did lose a storage building and some of our pallet inventory, our sawmill and most of our pallet assembly remain intact. We expect to be fully operational by Thursday, 2/26/25.

We sincerely appreciate your support, kindness, and prayers as we navigate this challenge. We will continue to provide updates as we make progress.

To our customers: A member of our sales team will be reaching out regarding your pallet needs. At this time, we anticipate continuing with all pallet shipments and orders as planned. If you have any questions, please reach out to your regular point of contact.

📢 Weather Update – Jamesville Facility 📢

Due to inclement weather, B&B Lumber Company Inc. – Jamesville facility will not be running operations on Monday, 2/17/25. However, we will be accepting log deliveries and shipping pallets on outbound trucks.

➡️ Night Shift: Operations will continue as scheduled Monday night.
➡️ Normal Operations Resume: Tuesday, 2/18/25.

Production Team Member

We are looking for General Laborer/Machine Operators to join our Second Shift team and help us push forward to future success! Are you ready to join our hardworking family and become part of a winning team?

Hours: Second Shift

Mon-Thurs: 5PM - 1:00AM
Friday - 4PM - 11:00PM
Subject to change based on business demands.
Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Jamesville, NY

Production Worker Duties:

Feed raw material into production machinery
Assemble goods on production lines
Carry out quality and testing checks
Stack goods and raw materials properly within storage areas
Maintain work areas and equipment used
Must be able to adhere to time and attendance policies with reliable transportation - attendance is key to success in our team!
Production Working Requirements:

This is a labor intensive position. Successful candidates will be able to:

Be able to lift 50-80 lbs
Have reliable transportation
Able to handle a fast-paced environment
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to bend, twist and walk continuously
OSHA required steel or composite toe footwear
This is an entry level position and we are willing to train those who possess a willingness to learn various processes, are reliable, and who can work in a safe manner. Our ideal applicants must have a reliable source of transportation to work, as the site is not located on a bus line. Consistent attendance is extremely important to the continued success of our business, individuals who are unable to report to work and perform duties as assigned need not apply.

As an entry level position, compensation will be based on experience and expertise. Teamwork and effective communication skills are essential to team and business’ success. A successful candidate will have great attention to detail, helping us to ensure that our customers receive high quality products and services consistently day in and day out. They are highly motivated to learn and maintain reliable schedule of attendance.

Terry worked with B&B in a multitude of departments and work duties throughout his multi decade career! The last 20 years were focused in the Pallet Manufacturing part of the business, where Terry took part in the production/assembly of nearly 20,000,000 pallets!!
