Task At Hand by Karla I was inspired to start my company after caring for my father whom is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s.

(He is now in a facility) Helping with meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, pick up prescriptions, doctor appointments much more!

I wanted to reintroduce myself — my name is Karla, and I run a small local business called Task at Hand by Karla.

I offer non-medical help and companionship for seniors who could use a little extra support to stay independent and comfortable at home.

I have loved horses my whole life! I have never owned my own, but I was around them for most of my childhood 😍 through friends mostly!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of my clients has horses on her farm! Today they came to say “Hi” to me 💗 my heart is full! And my my Horse-fix is pacified 😅

This is just a bonus for me as i absolutely adore this client!!

Life is good…when you are doing something rewarding and being rewarded by love and appreciation!!

Hello everyone 😍… it’s been a minute (or two 🤭) since I’ve posted anything, so just a little catch up…i wish i enjoyed Social media like i used too 🫤 its changed or perhaps i have.. but its not a place you can just can just bop-in to check out some cute stories from some of your besties, or check in with family…its become hateful,filled with lies, deceit and dishonor.
The world we live I suppose…

Im sharing this photo of my father that a lovely lady from Huntington Place sent to me today’… this is Charlie the therapy dog that visits out there frequently. And Dad adores him!! It makea him have a happier day 😍 …It was at that moment i receives the photo and saw his smile that my heart felt more full than it has in quite sometime! Ive struggled with so many emotions through this caregiving journey first with my Mother… then with my Father and now for my clients of “Task at Hand by Karla” But I feel that it is my calling 💗 I’ve gotten my name out there enough and I am busy!
I feel that finally for the first time in a very longtime…The Universe is leading me to a happy place again 🪐💗 Thank you for taking g the time to read my post 😊

This is my sweet Dad, he resides at Huntington Place now… he came home for Christmas for a visit 🥺🎄 pictured also is our dog “Cash” … they have a magical bond!
For over a year,
I lived and cared for my father in his home. It was a very challenging time for all of us,
But I wouldn’t have changed a moment! I felt so blessed to be able to spend this time with him…even though day by day he disappeared a little more from me from this terrible disease (Alzheimer’s) 😢… until it became unsafe for him th be there
“Cash” spent most days with us, he was so loving and patient with my Dad and most times laid right by his side… like this picture! He is our “unofficial” therapy dog 💗 arnt most animals therapy for us? They are precious!

I know there is a need for someone like me…you don’t just get a kind person that’s also caring and empathetic, You also get a genuine honest person with life experience! I promise to give you or your love one the same compassion as my own father ☺️ I do understand some aging principles that does make me more qualified then some.

Good morning ☀️ Happy Monday!
I would like to thank everyone that has responded to my post! …”Task At Hand by Karla” has taken off 🥳 I have been busy! The “ Need” is definitely out there and I have enjoyed helping the people I have so much 😍
If you or someone you know has a “Need” for some help around the house, errands ran, trips up and down the stairs doing laundry,
Helping with some meals or meal prep, even help taking down/ putting up holiday decorations … the list goes on and on!
I haven’t been able to help everyone, But please run it by me… I know how daunting simple things can be when you or someone you know doesn’t have the stamina to persevere!! I’m here to help!
