Our Chief Pickleball Officer, Lisa, got to step onto the court with the pros at the PPA Chicago Cup last night. Let’s just say she didn’t come to play around.

When you can pickle your opponents not once, but twice, while playing alongside a pro, you know it was a pretty good night at the kitchen.

Rally. Connect. Grow. And apparently, pickle a few people along the way (with Lindsey Newman's and Mike Loyd's help, of course)!

Such a blast on the courts tonight for the Women’s Pickleball Mixer! 🏓💥

Incredible energy, great rallies, and lots of laughs.

Lisa shared some game-changing pointers for the women tonight:

👟 Split stepping to stay balanced and ready to move.

👀 Watching the opponent’s paddle to anticipate their next shot.

🗣️ Communicating positioning with your partner to cover the court effectively.

🛠️ The Paddle Up Playbook: Mechanics Edition

Stop hitting the ball right into your opponent's strike zone.

This Week’s 🎯 Mechanics:
Target the opponent’s weaker side (usually their backhand).

The Strategy:
It is tempting to just hit the ball back over the net and hope for the best. But if you constantly return the ball to your opponent's forehand, you are serving up their most comfortable and powerful swing. Instead, pay attention to which side they struggle with - for most players, it is their backhand. Repeatedly aiming for their backhand forces them into awkward, defensive swings, creates weak pop-ups, and gives your team the easy put-away.

Find their weak side and keep the pressure on! See you on the courts.

Paddles Up,
Lisa

That’s a wrap on tonight’s Drill + Play Clinic! 🔥

Tonight we broke down the what and the why behind resetting the point and launching perfectly timed counterattacks. The objective wasn’t about demanding instant perfection—it was about creating a space to train, rep it out, and uncover the deep tactics that power every single skill.

Bonus Highlight: A huge shoutout to everyone who finally learned the game-changing secret of why you have to "sit in the chair!" 🪑👀

If you missed out on tonight's action, don't sweat it! Our next Drill + Play Clinic is going to be our "War + Peace" Edition ⚔️🕊️. We’ll be shifting gears to focus heavily on mastering speed-ups and winning those intense firefights at the kitchen line.

Trade the daily routine for the unmistakable pop of a pickleball! 🏓

This afternoon, we had an absolute blast hosting the incredible crew from Impulse Printing & Promotions.

They traded printing and design expertise for Prolite paddles, a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs over missed dinks and the occasional foot fault - and, best of all, created memories that will make their next project even more fun to talk about.

The magic of a Paddle Up Solutions team-building event is that there's no sitting on the sidelines. The game is designed for absolutely everyone to jump right in, learn something new, and have a great time together.

Ready to treat your crew to a fresh, engaging social outing? Send us a DM to get your workplace on the courts!
