We love the cars, but checking out all the vendors is one of our favorite parts of car shows too! ❤️

While we were at Pistons for Patriots, I couldn’t resist all the pink over at Two Maids 🩷 So naturally, I had to sneak in a little non-car challenge for Mike. 😂🦩

This bright yellow truck was personally my favorite of the entire show, and it ended up being one of Mike’s favorites too. 💛

Mike knew what he had his hands on and even got pretty darn close on the year, but then the owner started showing him all the tiny little details that separate one year from the next. I honestly had no idea just how specific some of those differences could be!

Those are some of my favorite moments at car shows. Mike may know his cars, but there is always someone willing to share a little more knowledge and a few details even he hasn’t felt before. 🚘❤️

Mike knows his trucks like the back of his hand… but there was NO way he could’ve known this was coming. 😂🇺🇸

Out of all the cars he explored at Pistons for Patriots, this one ended up giving him one of the biggest little surprises of the night. ❤️

This was one of Mike’s first cars at Pistons for Patriots, so we were still warming him up and seeing how he’d do. 😂

Between not feeling his best and a few “backwards” details on this one, I wasn’t sure if it might actually throw him off!

Mike wasn’t feeling his best this weekend, but there was no way he was letting that keep him from Pistons for Patriots. ❤️

Between the beautiful cars, the incredible owners who took the time to show him all the little details, and getting to choose his very own Blindtown Pick, it turned into a pretty special weekend.

Hopefully cars were the medicine he truly needed, and he’ll be on the road to recovery from here. ❤️🚗

Mike rarely gets trucks wrong, but this one definitely had him second guessing himself 😂 This tricky truck humbled him just a little bit.

She really did give my blind husband the bird. 😂🐦

We met the sweetest family at the Belen Fiestas, and they let Mike experience some of their welded art through touch. What happened afterward made the whole interaction even more special. ❤️

Huge thank you to Loose Arrow Welding for the kindness and for the bird Mike will be forever cherishing.

We were all very curious if Mike could figure this one out. 😂 We spotted this incredible patriotic Polaris Slingshot at the Belen Fiestas and had to put him to the test.

Then we found out we’ll be seeing it again at Pistons for Patriots in just a few days! 🇺🇸 Come meet Mike and check out the cars August 22 & 23rd at the Expo NM in Albuquerque.

Sometimes the best finds are the ones you aren’t even looking for. 😂

We were driving around trying to find the house where we were supposed to look at a trailer when I spotted this car and said, “Wow, that is a unique and beautiful car!” We actually joked that maybe we should knock on the neighbor’s door and see if they’d let Mike check it out.

Well… turns out THAT was the house we were looking for. 😂

Mike has gotten his hands on one of these before, but it had been a VERY long time. Needless to say, I think the trailer immediately became the second most interesting thing in the driveway. 😂👀

I mean, nothing sounds more chaotic than blindness, learning how to dump p**p, and trying to keep a really old truck and camper running.

But hey, it'll all be worth it for the memories… right? 😅

We're going to be fixing up this little camper we just bought, getting the truck ready, and hoping to hit the road for Route 66 and plenty of other adventures along the way!

This could either be one of our best ideas yet… or complete chaos. Probably both. 😂
