This is World Dairy Expo week in Madison, Wisconsin. Tony was on the Cochran Program organized by USLGE for 36 participates from Bolivia, Ecuador, Malaysia and Ukraine. Good discussion on the export process and current situation on the US beef and dairy cattle industry.

Thank you to USLGE for the invitation to participate in this program that builds relationships around the world.

Last day of the ILDEX Exhibtion in Jakarta and I would like to thank Carolus "Baso" Darmawan, Agricultural Specialist, USDA/FAS at the U.S. Embassy, Jakarta (center) and Enrique Crotto, USLGE (right) for all their great work at the exhibtion.

I also had the pleasure to meet Ms. Pan Myat Phyu, Marketing Specialist, USDA/FAS, U.S. Embassy, Rangoon, Myanmar at the show today. Ms. Pan will be an important person as we start to develop livestock trade in Myanmar.

Earlier today we delivered our first shipment of sheep, goats and pigs to the country of Aruba. We wish to tank the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Aruba and Director Nathalie Maduro for this order. A speacial thank you to Edward Berben for the local coordination.

I think a follow up visit in January when the snow is flying here Aruba would be a good place to visit. Thanks to everyone from the USA involved with this shipment as well.

Tony was invited by former Nebraska State Senator Ken Schilz to participate and meet the Minister of Agriculture from Ghana The Honorable Eric Opoku and 20 farmers and business people from Ghana to particiate in the Ghana–Nebraska Livestock Modernization Partnership Delegation.

The group spent a few days in Nebraska touring beef, dairy, poultry operations plus other businesses to strenghten the ties between the state of Nebraska and Ghana. Tony met with the group on Thursday in Lincoln, NE and Friday in Omaha to continue discussions.

Mexico was the destination for shipment this week and we made our second biggest shipment of dairy cattle crossing 320 head through the Port at Laredo, Texas. Thanks to Tom and Seth Brogle, Kentucky and John McCall, Missouri for supply the cattle. Thanks to Phil Mulder, Iowa for coordination of all the trucks.

The shortage of dairy cattle for export continues because of the impact of 60-70% of all dairy heifers/cows being bred to beef bulls.

Finishing my trip in the Philippines as part of the US-Philippines Agribusiness Trade Mission with 58 US cooperators. The Philippines is the USA's 10th largest trading partner.

On this Saturday morning in Manila our team was pleased to meet with Eric M. Harina, President, Pork Producers Federation of the Philippines and one of its biggest producers and advisors to the federation, Mr. Ben Jaro. We had a good discussion on the swine industry and impact of African Swine Fever (ASF) on the local industry. The Philippines has been a great supporter of the US swine industry.
