Especially when they’re trying to advertise for a product or service. Often times, the elderly are specifically targeted.

**UPDATE**

Internet is working, but apparently their VOIP services (phones) are having issues. Phones ring, but you cannot answer/hear people on the other line.

We will keep you posted.

If you are in Jefferson/Marion County, and surrounding areas, you may be having intermittent Etex internet issues.

There were some last night that were resolved after about an hour, but we are getting reports that some people are experiencing some issues as of just moments ago.

We will keep you posted. We do this because our company is YOUR LOCAL IT company.

ETEX outage update:

We have received reports that ETEX is giving the all clear, but they are continuing to monitor systems.

It is likely if you are a customer of theirs, you may receive some type of communication from them outlining what happened. That is not a guarantee, just a possibility.

We will keep you informed as soon as we get any type of postmortem.

Also, we are happy to report that the social media platform X is back up and running.

If X is back up and running all is right in the world right? Right?

Etex OUTAGE UPDATE:

We are starting to see with some of our customers internet and VOIP services are slowly being restored.

According to our sources, ETEX may be having an as yet, undefined problem with a piece of networking equipment. No further explanation has been given at this time.

Until the full "all-clear" message is officially provided, which we will update here, please expect for your internet to be spotty at best.

Just keeping you informed, because that is what your IT support company does!

Reports coming in that social media platform X is having issues with posts refreshing or showing up.

Also Etex internet is still down.

Due to the ongoing Etex widespread Internet outage, our offices in Jefferson will be closed today.

ETEX OUTAGE UPDATE:

There is not much of an update other than to say that it’s Monday morning and still Internet and voice services are intermittently working.

By our clocks, this is approaching 24 hours of an outage.

There is still no response from Etex other than to say “we are working on restoring service services”.

Mobile Tech Solutions will continue to work to try to find out a root cause for this particular issue.

ETEX OUTAGE UPDATE

After multiple attempts to get through to Support, and only receiving a fast busy signal, we were able to finally get through.

All that is answering right now is tier one support, and they don’t have any details other than they were able to share that it looks like there’s an issue with a line somewhere.

We have checked with other resources that we have, but for whatever reason, ETEX is not sharing any detail details as to the nature of this outage.

As we get more information, we will report it here, even a postmortem.
