🌳 Meet the Man Behind Big South Land & Tree 🌳

Before Big South was a company, it was a dream built on experience.

Owner Johnny Sheffield spent over 10 years working for one of the largest tree service companies in the region. During that time, he worked his way up through the ranks and eventually managed more than 10 crews at a time.

But after years in the industry, Johnny saw an opportunity to do things differently.

He wanted to build a company that offered the same level of professionalism, equipment, knowledge, and safety standards as the big companies, while still treating clients like neighbors instead of numbers.

Today, Big South is a crew of five hardworking people who take pride in doing the job right. Around here, we’re more like a family than coworkers. We joke, argue, pick on each other, and somehow make it all work. Just don’t leave a wrench out of place unless you want to see Johnny’s blood pressure spike. 😂

At the end of the day, our mission is simple:
