You may have noticed termite activity increasing the last few days.

The LSU AgCenter experts recommend:
• Turn off outdoor lights in the evenings to avoid attracting swarmers
• Check for mud tubes along walls, a common sign of termites in your home
• Keep wood, mulch and debris away from your home’s foundation when possible
• Don’t panic if a few termites get in through a door, but swarming indoors is a concern
• Fix leaks and reduce excess moisture, which termites thrive in

If you start seeing mud tubes, indoor swarms or signs of damage, it may be time to call a professional. Learn what to watch for and how to protect your home: https://tinyurl.com/mvn4kwvk
