We are bout to get this one wrapped up too. Justin L Branham and I wanna thank The City of Jenkins, Mayor Todd Depriest, The Railroad Museum, Community Trust Bank, The Jenkins Public Library and Giovanni's Pizza for getting us (3 Sons Asphalt Sealing) to clean, crack fill, gator pave, pothole patch, seal and stripe the parking lot in downtown Jenkins. We ran out of sealer last night so we should have it wrapped up on Wednesday. It's been a job working around the traffic and only getting to work on it a few hours a day due to the fact that the sealer has to be dry before buisness opens up the following day. The work is Greatly appreciated by Justin and myself and our families. I personally wanna thank Mayor Depriest, Community Trust Bank, and Kathy Hughes at the railroad museum for getting me to come wash the building before we started sealing.

Another job in the books. We sealed the church parking lot back before the last rainy spell and just recently got around to putting the make up on it. A big thank you to Jeremiah Baptist Church.

I want to thank Bobby Fleming and his wife for getting us to do his driveway. A great man of God and a wonderful family. We truly appreciate the work. Photo was taken before it completely dried but it turned out good. Done a lil patch work and crack filling and sealed with SealMaster coal tar sealer with tuff coat and Fast Dri. We have a full schedule but give us a call or send us a message and we’ll try and get you in.

I wanted to make a post to all of my asphalt sealing customers this spring. As soon as the rain dancers get through with their ballet, I promise you I’ll get to your driveway. I know there are several of you who are on the calendar but between cold nights and forecasted rain, I can’t take a chance in making a mess of your property or risk losing the time and money to redo the job. Sealer will not cure if temps fall below 50 degrees so these cool nights prevent me from Sealing on sunny days and warm nights have typically brought rain. I like 12-24 hours of dry/cure time after putting down sealer. Regardless, I wanted to let all of you know that I’m sweating over the weather and hopefully we can get a few days without rain. If you guys need to contact me, send me a PM or call Ryan Potter or myself.

Thanks.

Justin

Big thank you to the Tuckers and Zeitlers on Forest Hill Circle for getting us to do their driveways. We appreciate you allowing us to maintain your driveway. A new coat of sealant sure keeps a place in top notch shape. The top photo was completed today and the other two photos were completed earlier in the week.

I want to thank all of our customers this season. We’ve done some of our largest jobs to date and still have several large jobs left. We’ve also been asked to come look at a few seal jobs that I would have been ashamed to charge someone for (see below - sealer was put down a few days before the photo was taken).

If you get an estimate for your driveway or parking lot, please make sure the people doing it are insured and know what they are doing. Sealcoat is hard to get off of expensive landscaping, garage doors, bricks, etc and too expensive to pay for sealing twice. If they’re in too big of a hurry to cut in the edges and then leave overspray all over your grass or ditch Iine, you probably won’t like the results. If the forecast is calling for a slight chance of rain, do NOT let them put it down. You’ll have a black river rolling off your property carrying your money right along with it. Sign a contract if you have reservations. Ask for proof of business insurance.

Pap always said there’s never enough time to do a job right but always time to do it over. Don’t settle for cheap price tags and watered down sealer, ask questions. Know what you’re getting. Ask them to show you the purchase receipt for their sealer and what additives, if any, they’re using. I can’t stand seeing people, especially my neighbors, getting ripped off.

With that sermon over, winter is around the corner and people are calling everyday wanting their blacktop sealed before it gets here. We’ll be closing out our calendar soon.

This is absolutely uncalled for. I won’t mention who done this and I bet they won’t own up to it either.

Big thanks to an old coworker and good friend for sending us this video. Thanks Steve Haywood.

Just some sealing-striping photos from the Breaks Interstate Park. Will have some aerial shots before too long.

Another Thank You going out to Albrow Hall for allowing Three Sons Asphalt Sealing, LLC to sealcoat his driveway. Mr. Hall is another client that maintains his driveway on schedule. It is the life of your blacktop. I still owe you some Okra and will bring it by this week.

Albrow understands that the key to protecting his asphalt investment is to apply quality sealer. Whether you choose me and Ryan Potter or anyone else to do your driveway, ask the folks what kind of mix they are using. If they don’t know or if you want to PM me, I can tell you what they should be using. Putting down sealer thinned with more water than necessary will make your driveway pale very quickly and doesn’t result in a thick coating. You are basically getting black water but it allows those scamming people to pay for less product and charge you the same price. We try to be fair and do as good of a job as we can. We pride ourselves on neatness and not getting overspray on everything including your grass, home, cars or even your ditch line. If you need your driveway sealed before the freeze-thaw cycle of winter gets here and starts making those hairline cracks bigger, give us a call and we’ll try to fit you in according to your budget and schedule. It’s not cheap for quality sealer but it’s around 1/12th of the cost to repave. Three Sons is insured and licensed in Kentucky and we are locally owned and we do the work ourselves.

Want to say a big “Thank You!” to Melinda and Gary Blevins from Ferrells Creek for getting Ryan Potter and myself to sealcoat their driveway. Coal Tar sealer from SealMaster In Kingsport with Fast Dri and Top Tuff additive. It’s always a pleasure to serve our neighbors and good Christian people. If anybody needs their driveways sealed, call Ryan or myself for a free estimate. We are running out of slots but can squeeze a few more in before winter sets in.
