Earlier this month, we got together with our good friends and fellow biologists at Inwater Research Group to have a field day event!

We enjoyed food, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition. 🙂

We’ve been just down the road from the IRG team and have known eachother for years, so it’s always a fun time when we can get both teams together to catch up!

Last month, our staff got together to do a neighborhood cleanup. 🧼

Walking between our two offices in Jensen Beach, we filled an entire dumpster full of the trash we collected! 🗑️

It felt great to work as a team and help make our neighborhood nicer. 🏡

Great job, team! 👏

Today, the legendary Sir David Attenborough turns 100 years old and every single one of us at EAI wishes this extraordinary man a very happy birthday!

His seven decades-long career bringing the natural world to our screens has no doubt inspired many of us to pursue a career in the natural sciences and will continue to inspire generations to come.

Fun fact! He has over 40 species named after him and he holds the Guinness World Record for the longest career as a television presenter and naturalist.

We wish this world many more years of Sir Attenborough’s curiosity, passion, and advocacy for the natural world – this world is a better place because you’re in it. Thank you for your incredible legacy. ❤️🌎

Over the years, EAI has grown through specialized expertise across multiple disciplines. When first incorporated, we specialized in coastal protected species monitoring and examining the effects of beach nourishment on sea turtle nesting. This work was represented by our well known sea turtle logo.

As the company grew to include terrestrial environmental assessments, permitting for a variety of upland projects, and terrestrial protected species surveys, we launched the scrub jay version of our logo.

And most recently, to represent our work in aquatic sciences we introduced the EAI snook logo.

Now, we’re bringing decades of experience together under one clear, unified logo—a simple, recognizable mark that puts EAI front and center, reflecting how our teams work today: collaboratively, seamlessly, and with shared purpose.

New look. Same commitment. One unified EAI.

Consider this the *official* launch of EAI’s new unified brand identity. 🚀

Earlier this month, our team celebrated Earth Day at St. Lucie County’s 22nd Annual Earth Day Festival at Oxbow Eco-Center! 🌎

The St. Lucie Earth Day Festival is an incredible event with over 70 local organizations and businesses that celebrate our Earth by sharing resources and information on sustainability, resiliency, food systems, environmental conservation, Florida heritage, water quality, and more!

This is one of our favorite events to participate in (and sponsor!) and we look forward to it every year! 🤗

Last week, staff from our Aquatic Sciences department attended the 2026 Oyster Workshop hosted by the Oyster Integrated Mapping and Monitoring Program (OIMMP), Florida Oyster Recovery and Science (FORS) working group, and the Statewide Ecosystem Assessment of Coastal and Aquatic Resources (SEACAR).

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together representatives from oyster mapping and monitoring programs across the state to foster communication regarding mapping and monitoring methodology, gaps, needs, and oyster population status, to identify ways to improve data sharing, and to compile local, regional, and statewide mapping and monitoring efforts that meet the needs of OIMMP, FORS, and SEACAR objectives.

Our team had a great time networking with other oyster enthusiasts and learning about the different work being done to restore oysters throughout the state! 🦪
