Jersey Shore Summer Recreation, Inc. A place for parents and families to keep informed of what's happening at Summer Rec.

The Jersey Shore Summer Recreation Program provides an outreach to children ages 5-12 in the Jersey Shore Area School District to meet their physical, social, spiritual, cultural, and life enrichment needs. This is a free 9-week program that runs from mid-June to early August from 9am-4pm, Monday thru Friday. A free, well-balanced lunch and snacks are also provided to all program participants. Dur

ing the course of the day, many activities are available for the children. They may include crafts, music, art, theater, science projects, structured gross motor activities, trips to the library, educational and cultural field trips, nutritional meal planning, swimming, visits from local law enforcement and fire departments, environmental conservation projects, and community service work. Other activities include float decoration and participation in the annual Jersey Shore 4th of July Parade. On the last day of the program, a talent show is conducted by children and staff.
