Champagne Fluorite from the Bull Vein of the Lady Annabella Mine (Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England) refers to a highly sought-after, rare color variety of cubic fluorite crystals. These specimens are prized for their straw-yellow, honey, and sherry-yellow hues, often combined with gemmy clarity and sugary quartz coatings.

Color & Luster: The crystals range from light straw to pale sherry-yellow and sometimes have beautiful purple or indigo tinged edges.

The "Bull Vein": This is a specific feeder fracture vein within the Lady Annabella Mine. It was famously named after Fred Bull, a well-known mineral collector who alerted mining operators to the presence of the yellow fluorite in an otherwise unnamed vein.

Crystal Habit: These fluorites frequently form sharp, lustrous, and sometimes completely transparent cubic crystals. They are often found growing on a matrix of sparkling quartz or galena.

Mine Status: The Lady Annabella Mine, famous for producing some of the finest modern English fluorites, was exhausted and officially closed operations. This has made specimens, particularly from distinct pockets like those in the Bull Vein, increasingly valuable to collectors.

The "Heavy Metal Pocket" refers to a highly sought-after 2019 find of gemmy, dark emerald-green fluorite crystals associated with galena. They were discovered at the intersection of the Greenbank and Sutcliffe veins in the Diana Maria Mine (Rogerley Quarry) in Weardale, County Durham, England.

These English fluorite specimens are highly prized by collectors for several distinct properties:

Color-Change: The crystals exhibit strong natural daylight fluorescence, appearing emerald-green indoors and turning a vibrant blue when exposed to direct sunlight.

UV Reactivity: They fluoresce brightly under ultraviolet light.Mineral Association: Unlike pure fluorite pockets, Heavy Metal specimens are uniquely nestled with metallic, lustrous galena crystals and occasionally creamy calcite.

Crystal Habit: The fluorite predominantly forms elongated or modified cubes, ranging from cloudy cores to perfectly clear, gemmy interiors.
