Remembering LabConnect’s last 20 years cannot come without recognizing one of our founding partners, Jeff Mayhew. Jeff founded LabConnect in 2002 along with co-founders Alain Chetrit and Joel Rosenberg. The three started the business planning for LabConnect in the Spring of 2002 and had the company officially incorporated by the Summer of that year. What began as a dream to redefine how service is delivered in the central laboratory industry, has grown into one of the leading global central lab organizations, with nearly 700 employees worldwide.

As Chief Development Officer, Jeff has overseen the development of LabConnect’s global network of laboratories and provided oversight to all business development efforts. Over the years he has offered executive-level support to help guide the development of innovative products and services to meet the needs of today’s most complex clinical trials.

With the creation of newer and more complex immuno-therapeutic approaches to cancer, the world has entered a new stage of medicine. Rather than targeting cancer cells directly with traditional tools like chemotherapy or radiation, immunotherapy seeks ways to use the body’s own immune system to eradicate or inhibit the growth of cancers.

The field of immuno-oncology (IO) focuses on determining how to activate pre-existing immune cells to attack cancerous targets.
