A woman got a text saying her bank flagged a $1,000 charge. She replied "no," then got a call from someone claiming to be the fraud department, using her bank's real caller ID. By the time the call ended, her account was empty.

Another woman got a call from her "grandson," saying he'd been in an accident and needed money right away, and to keep it quiet. The voice sounded exactly like him. It wasn't him. It was an AI-cloned voice, built from a few seconds of audio pulled from social media.
