It was founded in 2009 by Jose & Shannon Castillo out of a desire to create collaboration and community among the mobile professionals of the TriCities area. Spark continues to fulfill that dream today, and is now a hub for both the entrepreneurs based in the TriCities and those just passing through. Comfy chair that doesn’t make your back sore after a work day?
Don’t get us wrong, those things are great! I’d like a nice wooden desk myself. But we’re willing to bet that for 17 years it hasn’t been the desks and chairs that have brought our people coming back.

It’s the lunches, the chess games, the conversations, the Erics who can’t wait to hear about your weekend, the Brandons who want to show you pictures of their newborn, the Elizabeths who are eager to share about their newest book. Community has always been the lifeblood of Spark Plaza. Working remote doesn’t have to mean working alone!
