TriFab & Construction Inc. General Laborer for local oil refinery

TriFab & Construction Inc. is a "Nested" support contractor company for the ExxonMobil site located in Channahon, IL. We perform a wide variety of job tasks throughout the refinery at the request of our customer. The majority of our work is performed outdoors year round. We have over 60 employees on roster. Our work scope is all around the refinery performing all sorts of jobs. Some of the type of work we do includes; warehouse support, cleaning/loading vessels, loading/unloading chemical trucks, loading asphalt trucks/railcars, maintenance/process support for projects/TAs, building maintenance, etc. We also perform "Fire Watch" & "Hole Watch" duties which include observing personnel conducting welding, grinding, or cutting activities and we make sure nothing catches on fire. Or if personnel are inside of a confined space we monitor the atmosphere and the surrounding area(s) to make sure it's safe for them to perform the work. We also perform general housekeeping throughout the refinery. We are one of the few contractor companies that is on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is not a temporary or seasonal position.
Looking for candidates interested in joining the company as a laborer to learn about the refinery and get refinery experience by being all around every part of ExxonMobil Joliet Refinery. We place our employees in roles and different types of work based off of what our employees see fit and we see as well.
- Minimum starting rate of 22.50
(Starting rate will be evaluated prior to start)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test (the drug test does include ma*****na)
- Background check required
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and night shift if needed
- Willing to work overtime (normal schedule is Monday - Thursday 6am to 4:30pm with the potential for overtime daily and on weekends).
- Valid driver’s license or state issued identification
- Most work is performed outside during almost all types of weather

Looking for candidates interested in joining the company as a fire watch or hole watch. The job details include monitoring all hot work and confined space job sites. Duties will require candidates to be in all types of weather, keeping eyes on work without being distracted, and will require candidate to have to speak up and communicate on job site.

Type of work we do:

Our company is all over the refinery. We are one of few contractors that are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have a wide variety of jobs that include, but not limited to; Warehouse material handling, offloading/loading of chemical trucks, loading/unloading vessels, assisting with asphalt loading, heavy equipment operations, building maintenance(Furniture/entertainment center installment,Painting, power washing, lighting, landscaping, etc), Process Unit support, Environmental spill clean up/ containment set up, fire watch, hole watch, fuel truck/sanitary truck/vacuum truck operations, and snow removal. This is a basic list of some of the jobs we are contracted to do, as you can see we are never short of work!

Trifab & Construction Inc. is an embedded contractor at ExxonMobil Joliet Refinery. As we approach this upcoming Major Turnaround on site, we are looking for laborers that are willing to work a turnaround schedule of 84 hour weeks, 12 hour shifts, Mon. - Sun. with every 14th shift off. Employees must meet the following requirements in order to apply.
