I just published in JMT about building an informatics system to collect workload data in Creative Arts Therapists. It shows how CATs work in multiple areas beyond direct-patient care, like non-direct patient care, community engagement, etc. It also discusses the benefits of using this tool, like time management, discussing caseload, and getting others to understand our work. We also found that different roles thing about these benefits differently.

I've been working at a hospital doing music therapy with physical therapy and dementia. I just ran the data and found significant improvements in 11 out of 15 symptoms I'm tracking. That's decreases in pain, anxiety, and sadness, just to name a few.
