Hello everyone, most of my post on here are related to current federal regulations, and changes in the industry. Today, my post will be personal.

Five 5 years ago, I made the choice to leave a very promising job at the VA. I moved to Georgia to be with the love of my life. Going from civilian life to military life would be a change, and I wanted a job that would be flexible and meet my needs.

I decided to create my own business. I called previous clients of mine and asked if they were looking for a billing service/provider. I was very pleased to receive a YES....

Five years later my business continues, and I have the flexible schedule I wanted, and work from home. Lesson of the story, never let fear hold you back from your dreams.

As a healthcare provider you actively obtain new/changed insurance information from the patient. The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) requires social security numbers be removed from Medicare as of April 2019.
