Yesterday's afternoon thunderstorm brought a lot of lightening and wind which led to several calls in a short time span.
At 3:00 pm FD was called to R R 1674 and KC 210 for smoke. While enroute to this call a second smoke call was received west on 1674 at 3:13 pm. Both were determined to be just into Sutton County. Units responded on to Sutton county to assist with the fire in the 5,000th block of CR 314.
Brush 1, Brush 80 and Tender 4 responded to this call which was approx: 60 acres in size.
At 4:24 pm another Brush fire was reported on IH-10 at mile marker 476. Brush 83 and Tender 5 responded to this call and quickly got it out. At 5:03 pm another brush fire was reported to be on IH-10 at mile marker 483 in Kerr County. These units responded there to assist Mountian Home FD with this call.
At 5:35 pm a call was received of a small lightening caused fire on KC 140 off of US 377. Brush 88 and Tender 5 responded to this fire and mopped it up.
During this time period another lightening caused fire was reported further south on US 377 at Little Paint Creek Ranch. Brush 88 responded to this fire.
All units were back in service by midnight last night.
