I coach founders for a living. I also have a coach. Her name is Stephanie.

Everyone assumes the person handing out the playbook has it all figured out. I don’t. What I have is someone who won’t let me pretend I do.

Stephanie is my co-founder and the head of coaching at Predictable Profits … and she’s my coach. She’s the one who pushes me to keep leaning in when coasting would be easier. Who drags me back into my zone of genius every time I wander into work I’ve got no business touching. Who names the blind spot I’ve been circling for a month in about four words.

You can’t read the label from inside the jar. I don’t care how good you are at the work - you cannot see your own blind spots from the inside. That’s not a weakness. It’s just physics. The best leaders I know aren’t the ones without blind spots. They’re the ones who put someone in the room whose whole job is to see what they can’t.

Being a coach doesn’t exempt me from needing one. If anything, it’s the reason I need one more.

Thank you, Stephanie. For the standard you hold me to, and for refusing to let me shrink to anything less than it.

Likes lied to me for years. Here’s what actually fills the
pipeline 👇

The sales call isn’t the furnace - the consumption before it is.

A Consumption Qualified Lead is just a pre-sold buyer, and that’s the whole game.

Save this one. Which are you optimizing for: being seen, or being trusted?

🚨BREAKING: A Texas father who beat a man to death after finding him ra**ng his 5-year-old daughter was not charged.

The father found Jesus Mora Flores sexually assaulting the little girl after a witness saw the man take her to a remote area. The father ran toward her screams, inflicted blows to the attacker’s head and neck, then called 911 saying the man was dying.

A medical exam confirmed the girl had been sexually assaulted. A grand jury declined to indict the father, finding he was legally allowed to use deadly force to protect his child. Prosecutors announced he would face no charges.

Had dinner with Jürgen and our wives tonight.

He built Global Work and Travel into a company that sends thousands of people around the world every year.

We worked together on the growth side. They best thing about working with great people is they often become great friends.

That’s the part nobody puts in the pitch deck. You come in to helpa founder hit a number, and if you do it right, the number stops being the point. You end up on a sidewalk at dusk, no agenda, wives laughing, two founders who’ve been through the fire and are still
standing.

The clients who turn into friends …that’s the return I actually count.

Comment PRESOLD and I’ll send you the sequence. 👇

I went back through my last ten sales calls and sorted them into two piles.

Pile one: easy. The person showed up nodding. Thirty minutes, basically a formality.

Pile two: work. Forty-five minutes of me educating, answering questions, explaining, just to get to a maybe.

Same offer. Same me. Same pitch. The only thing that changed was who showed up.

I started paying attention to what was different about pile one. It wasn’t that they had more money or a better fit. It’s that by the time we talked, they’d already sold themselves. They’d read something, watched something, seen the proof and decided before the call ever started.

For years I treated the call as the place where selling happens. I’m now pretty convinced that’s backwards. The call is where someone confirms a decision they already made. If they’re making the decision live, with me, in real time. I’ve left the hardest part to the worst possible moment.

So we spent the last year rebuilding the whole front end around one idea: get the buyer pre-sold before we ever speak. Move the convincing upstream, into stuff they consume on their own time. The call stops being a wrestling match and becomes a handshake.

The data is clear: the goal is not a better pitch. It’s a pipeline that does the convincing before we show up.

PS I’ve been writing down the actual sequence I’m using to do this. Comment PRESOLD and I’ll send you what I’ve got so far.

Your next 5 clients are already in your notifications. You’re just walking past them to chase strangers.

The warmest lead you have isn’t a perfect-fit stranger - it’s the person who liked two posts, viewed your profile, and sent a request you never answered. not a lead to generate. a conversation you dropped.

Today: don’t post. Open notifications, find 3 people who’ve engaged twice, and send one a real message. no pitch, no link.

Want the exact opener so it lands human? comment PRESOLD.

You didn’t close your best client. You confirmed a sale that was already made.

The easiest deal you ever signed - barely any convincing, price wasn’t a fight, they showed up ready? That wasn’t your pitch. It was a conversation you weren’t in.

Three things got transferred before you ever spoke: belief (someone they trust vouched), proof (it worked for them), risk (they won’t get burned). By the time they reached you, the decision was done.

Gut check: are your deals showing up pre-sold… or are you still convincing on the call?

Here’s the trap: more follow-up, better closers, end-of-quarter discounts - downstream fixes for an upstream problem. When it happens by accident, you call it a referral. When you engineer it on purpose, it’s a Pre-Sold Buyer.

Comment PRESOLD and I’ll send you the Pre-Sold Buyer Checklist - the exact way to manufacture this on purpose.

Save this for your next sales call.

Comment ENGINE if you’re relying on one post to create demand.

One post gets forgotten.

A Consumption Engine gets remembered.

It repeats one sharp idea through different angles, proof, and retargeting until the buyer is ready to talk.

Comment ENGINE and I’ll send you the scorecard.

my dad, at 68. a year later, glioblastoma took him.

he worked hard but, he always made room for the people and things he loved. big smile, big energy, never stopped being a big kid.

at his funeral, the thing I heard most was: “your father inspired me every day.”

if I do one thing with my life, I want it to be that.

age is a state of mind. In many ways, I hope to be more like him. miss you, dad.

We’re building something for the operators tired of “post and pray” - a system that fills a workshop with 30+ people from LinkedIn who show up ready to buy. No cold DMs, no begging for attention.

That’s the Pre-Sold Pipeline, and we’re breaking the whole thing down on Sept 23.

Comment PIPELINE and I’ll send you the details.
