I recently started a new chapter in my career as COO of A Higher Yield. My work in that startup environment rekindled the entrepreneurial spirit in me. Working hard was something that was instilled in me at a very young age by my parents and extended family. Many of you may not know but I started working at a locally owned plant nursery when I was 11, and that later served me well while running my own gardening business. At 12 I started what would be a 13 year run of working in various restaurants throughout middle school, high school, university, and the summer after my year as a high school math teacher.
It was during that last stretch in the restaurant industry, that I made the decision to pursue a career in Financial Services and Wealth Management. Fast forward the next 23 years, a time that spanned several firms, countries, and more importantly many good people and friends that I made along the way. Reflecting on the professional and personal development that resulted from all of those experiences, made me realize that it was time to harness all of that I have learned along the way and leverage that knowledge and network of good people.
That said, I am very excited to announce that I, along with my partner Valerie Harris, have co-founded Happy Valley Partners.
Valerie has also had a diverse and distinguished career spanning several large, multinational corporations with a focus on Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics, International Trade, Marketing and Project Management before founding her own consulting firm in 2002. Valerie specializes in Grant-Writing, Grant Management, Development of Public/Private Partnerships, and facilitating Nonprofit Start-Ups.
Together, Happy Valley Partners will provide unparalleled services in Strategic Planning, Business Development and Management services to a range of Local to Global Companies. With over 70 years of combined global experience in the Retail, Restaurant, Construction, Heavy Industry, Education, Financial Services, Wealth Creation & Management, Supply Chain Management, Renewable Energy and H**p & Cannabis Industries.
