Shaun said on his way out the door that he would make our staff pick for September and he chose his Dabinett C***r! Dabinett is an old English variety that is known for its bittersweet structure with nice soft tannins and mildly sweet profile. This single varietal c***r was one of Shaun‘s first batches he crafted when he came to the w**ery, and we’re down to our last few cases. They’re on sale for the month of September – which happens to be the start of apple season – for $5 off a bottle. That means they are only $10 per bottle! This c***r also won a silver medal at Great Lakes International C***r & Perry Competition - 2024. Here’s your last chance to enjoy an award-winning, heritage style c***r. Don’t miss out! 🍎🍺🍏

We’ve got pizza 🍕, pretzels 🥨, and w**e🍷this coming Wednesday! Join us for food truck night at the w**ery with Patriot Pizza and Pretzel Food Truck from 5-7:30 pm. Their from-scratch dough makes the best bread-based deliciousness. Pair it with our w**e made with grapes we lovingly grow in Lawton, and craft and serve in our tasting room on Stadium Drive. We hope to see you there!

It is with great sadness we announce our w**e maker Shaun is moving on. He’s received a great job opportunity at a w**ery out of state, and so he’s off soon on his next great adventure. We’ve known Shaun since he started at Texas Corners Brewing Company back in 2018. He’s worked as a server, bartender, brewery intern, cellar man/assistant brewer, and as our head w**e and c***r maker.

We’re truly proud and excited for him. He’s been tremendous and instrumental in our success, especially since we took over Lawton Ridge W**ery nearly three years ago. Please wish him well if you see him at the w**ery this week or just say so on this post! Cheers to Shaun and his next chapter! 🥂

We’ve got the good folks of W**e Country Catering rolling in for our food truck night this Wednesday! They’re fixing up some delicious summer fare to go with our w**e and c***r. Come enjoy a wonderful summer evening with friends or family in our tasting room or on our patio. 🍽️🍷

Our earliest w**e grapes of the season - Pinot Gris and Pinot Meunier - are almost through veraison. It’s the process of the berries ripening, gaining sugar, and changing color. It really means that harvest is coming soon!

The 2026 harvest is about a month away! We spent some time this week at the Lake Michigan College Welch Center of W**e and Viticulture polishing up our cleaning skills with a pre-harvest bootcamp. It’s always good to have a strong foundation for good w**e - which starts with a clean environment!

Did you know the Midwest’s only college program on w**e-making is only 45 minutes away in Benton Harbor?! You can even pop in on the weekend to taste w**e at Lake Michigan Vintners which serves w**e made by students in the program. The w**e program there is a great resource for us throughout the year with continuing education and programming like this bootcamp.
