Agio Imaging is searching for an independent, organized, efficient, and productive Digital Prepress Specialist. As a digital prepress specialist, you will be working closely with sales, customer service, and production team members to produce custom grand format printed solutions. This exciting career opportunity offers one the ability to work in a dynamic, technical, creative, and productive work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing files for production and external vendors, while ensuring the highest level of quality and efficient production. Principle responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Read and comprehend written project specifications
• Review and examine digital files to ensure those files meet production requirements
• Color correct files and match PMS spot colors
• Create and design digital files as requested with basic instruction and directions
• Produce digital press proofs for client approval
• Produce file layouts that maximize material usage
• Output cut files to a CNC router
• Take final digital files though a raster image processor
• Catalog production and native customer files into a digital asset management system
• Report projected production time and material usage
• Update job specifications within a production management database as needed

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

• In depth understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro)
• Knowledgeable in printing specific software including raster image processors (RIP) i.e. Caldera, Onyx, etc., color management, and font management
• An overall understanding of pre-press, press, and post-press processes and requirements
• Understanding the characteristics of various printing substrates and finishing procedures preferred
• Solid understanding of print quality and resolution
• Typesetting and typography knowledge, including an understanding of typeface classification, character anatomy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, typographic units of measure, page layout and paragraph structure.
• Knowledge of MAC OS and Windows operating systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Office 365 suite.
• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Associates degree or higher preferred

To our valued customers and friends,

Due to safety concerns and the recent stay-at-home order from Governor Gretchen Whitmer that started effective this morning, Tuesday March 24, Agio Imaging will be temporarily suspending production through April 13th.

We will still be available to plan your next big project, generate estimates and provide design services for you during this time and will work with any and all customers that have deadlines conflicting with this temporary production suspension.

We look forward to the end of coronavirus and getting back to work to serve you all. Our Agio Imaging team hopes everyone is staying healthy and safe during this time.
