Net proceeds from the shop go to Cleaning for a Reason, an ISSA Charity, helping connect cancer patients with participating cleaning partners who provide free cleanings during cancer treatment.

Today, we are sharing some very personal news on behalf of Jeannie Henderson, Owner and CEO of Jeannie Cleaning, and her family.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Terry Henderson, Jeannie’s husband of 40 years, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 10.

Many of you may have wondered why Jeannie has not been around as much over the past year. During that time, she has been caring for Terry while continuing to lead her businesses. It has been a difficult and deeply personal season for their family, and we are grateful for the grace and understanding so many people have extended to her.

Terry was a husband, father, Marine, entrepreneur and friend to many. He was a man of tremendous joy, strength, faith and generosity.

He was also part of the beginning of Jeannie Cleaning.

Ten years ago, Terry and Jeannie took a leap of faith and began building a cleaning company from their laundry room. What started there grew into the Jeannie Cleaning business we know today.

But Terry’s influence went far beyond those early days. He believed deeply in caring for the people who worked alongside him and creating a great workplace for them. He taught Jeannie that when you provide well for your team and help them care about the mission, everything else in business falls into place. This philosophy helped Terry and Jeannie build more than 30 restaurants together and later became part of the foundation for Jeannie Cleaning.

Making Lives Better came from both of their hearts, but was first inspired many years ago by Terry’s big heart for people. His belief in caring for others and giving back became part of the heart of Jeannie Cleaning, and that spirit of giving forward can still be seen throughout the work we do today, from our partnership with Cleaning for a Reason to our Surprise Sparkle cleanings for nonprofit organizations and the many other ways our team works to Make Lives Better.

We are grateful for Terry’s life, for the love he and Jeannie shared for 40 years, and for the lasting impact he has had on his family, his community and this company. We are also grateful for the Jeannie Cleaning team and the care they have shown in continuing to serve our clients while Jeannie has been caring for Terry and her family.

Jeannie shared that Terry is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus, and we know that faith is bringing comfort to her and her family as they walk through this tremendous loss.

Please keep Jeannie, Julie, Aaron, Travis and their family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

In case you missed it, following our recent merger with Calico Cleaning, Jeannie Cleaning is now proudly serving the Lakeshore area, including Holland, Bangor, and surrounding communities. It’s been exciting to share our story, build new relationships, and connect with the business community in this growing part of West Michigan.

🐾 May is National Pet Month! 💗 Time for celebrating all the furry friends who make a house feel like home.

Happy Pet Month from the pet-loving team at Jeannie Cleaning—and a special hello from our very own CEO Jeannie Henderson & her sidekick, Benji!

Meet Benji—adopted in 2018 and instantly loved. He’s a Lancashire Heeler (related to Corgis)… though according to Jeannie, sometimes he acts like a giant Chihuahua! 😄

He dances when he wants a treat, flashes the biggest smile when he’s happy, and loves to burrow into blankets.
