It has been 15 days since we had our last day at Lambs and Ivy Play Cafe, and 11 days since we were fully and officially out of our space.
First, I need to thank my husband. His support in this dream of mine has been beyond anything expected. He sacrificed as much as I did for this space and I so appreciate him. Remember how there were 4 days from when we closed until we were out of the space?
My husband and his sister had all our play equipment pulled and organized within 24 hours.
It was bittersweet to watch something that took a full month to build, and was grown and adjusted almost every month since then, come down in days. Our family is so disappointed to watch Lambs and Ivy close after such a short time. And we understand that it is something the community doesn’t need.
While it wasn’t a community need, it did fill a need for many families while it was open. I enjoyed every moment of hospitality I a was able to give to those families. This space filled a need in this season. We are so proud of it and everything we accomplished.
And we are excited to say goodbye.
We are excited to fill the needs of families in our community, in different ways. We are excited to experience evenings, weekends, and holidays together again. We are excited to keep our house clean, rebuild our finances, and take vacations again.
Lambs and Ivy was a dream for us, it was an escape, and it was a sacrifice. We learned so much, we loved so hard, we made so many friends, and we are excited to put those energies elsewhere.
As we go, please know, you were seen in this space. You were enjoyed and loved and appreciated in this space. I am still praying for each of you. I am praying for another way of connection and that we cross paths often. I am praying for peace and happiness in each of your lives.
While this is the end of Lambs and Ivy Play Cafe, this isn’t the end of this page. We don’t know what comes next, but keep following to find out.
