🏈🐏 2026 KYRO FOOTBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
After not having a KYRO Football season in 2025 due to a lack of participation, we are hoping to bring KYRO Football back for 2026 — but we need players, coaches and volunteers to make it happen!

🏈 2026 KYRO FOOTBALL TEAMS
KYRO hopes to field two teams this fall:
3rd & 4th Grade Team
Ages 8–10
5th & 6th Grade Team
Ages 10–12
Registration will remain open through midnight Friday, August 28. On Saturday, August 29, we will determine whether we have enough players and coaches to safely participate in the 2026 season and will notify parents.
Our league scheduling meeting is Sunday, August 30, so we must know by then whether KYRO will be able to field a 3rd/4th Grade team, 5th/6th Grade team, both teams, or neither team.
🚨 WE NEED PLAYERS!
At the youth level, we typically play 11-man football, which means we would like to have a minimum of 15 players per team.
If a team finishes registration with approximately 11–13 players, we may still be able to put together a season by working with other communities to schedule 8-man football games.
Teams in our local youth football league typically include communities such as Grangeville, Kamiah, Cottonwood, Nezperce, Lapwai and Orofino.
📣 WE ALSO NEED COACHES & VOLUNTEERS!
Having enough players is only part of bringing KYRO Football back.
We are looking for positive, energetic coaches who want to help teach the game and provide a great experience for our kids.
We will also need volunteers throughout the season to help with:
🏈 Score clock
🏈 3-person chain crew
🏈 Other home-game responsibilities
If we do not have coaches, we will not be able to have a KYRO Football season — even if we have enough players.

📅 WHAT WILL THE SEASON LOOK LIKE?
If we have enough players and coaches:
🎽 Gear Handout: Monday, August 31
🏫 First Practice Week: Beginning August 31
📍 Practices: Clearwater Valley High School football practice field
⏰ Typical Practice Schedule: Monday–Thursday, approximately 4:00–6:00 PM
🏈 Games: Approximately 6–8 games
📅 Season Ends: Typically around mid-October
💲 REGISTRATION COST
The cost to play KYRO Football is $75 per participant.
⚠️ WE ARE NOT COLLECTING PAYMENT DURING REGISTRATION.
Right now, we simply need families to complete the online registration form so we can determine how many players we have.
If we have enough players and coaches to move forward with the season, a payment link will be sent to registered families on August 31.
And as always, we do not want money to be the reason a child cannot participate. Scholarships are available for families who need assistance.
