Hi and welcome! My name is Katie and Iâm so excited to meet and work with you!
First, a little bit about me: I am a mom to an amazing 10-year-old boy, and wife to a traveling millwright. I have two large dogs, two cats, and a jungle of plants at home. I enjoy being creative and crafty, as well as reading, listening to music, and watching movies/tv.
So, I originally got the idea for this endeavor while talking with my husband about what I want to do with my life. I have worked full time most of my adult life, and would always start feeling burnt-out and move on from a position within a few years. I explained to him that ideally, I want to be a stay at home mom because I thoroughly enjoy keeping my home and my familyâs lives in order and running smoothly. So, my next thought was, âHow amazing would it be to get paid to be a stay at home mom for other moms!â Well a few months went by and this nugget of an idea was just stashed in the back of my mind. And BAM! One day that nugget blossomed into this new exciting adventure of being my own boss and helping other moms with managing and organizing their lives, so they have more time to enjoy being a mom!
If youâre on the fence and wondering if you could benefit from hiring help, hereâs something to consider:
Are âmom-tasksâ keeping you from enjoying being a mom? If youâre the mom who works all day and when youâre off work youâd love to not have to worry about dishes or vacuuming, this is for you. If youâre a stay-at-home mom trying to home-school your kiddoes but canât figure out how youâre going to juggle that with your other household duties, this is for you. If you have that one closet or room where everything gets tossed to worry about at a later date that never comes, this is or you.
So hereâs the skinny⊠Ideally, the idea is to have a few families on a reoccurring service schedule where we arrange a routine for an hourly rate of $20. For example, if you would like assistance 3 days a week for 3 hours each day your weekly total would be $180. For anyone interested in a one-time session, like for organizing a closet or pantry, we would agree upon a flat rate to be no less than $50 but obviously would ultimately depend on the type of work and estimated time it would take to complete.
I would love for this to be a very laid-back and casual situation, so open communication and understanding is key.
