A lot going on in 2023 and 2024 that kept Coral and I, and the MKA team, insanely busy.
To re-cap. MKA is now 22 years old, and always working hard to keep our reputation for doing the best work. It has required a tremendous amount of effort but we have built, as we navigated adversity and overcome. Notably all the diabolical hits that threatened to put our entire industry back on its heels during that time. The Sub Prime Mortgage Crisis in 2008 and the Covid Pandemic of 2019/2020/2021 were the worst and they blind sided us all. But like so many of you, we never gave up. Our focus has always been the Long Game and that is how we played it, looking forward and never back.
Our business model has always shied away from expansion through acquisition. We have had offers to be bought and to buy, but our corporate career experience taught us that the best model for us was collaboration. Throw out the rules and the sandbaggers and concentrate on finding the best people to collaborate with and then work out how we could work together.
That has been our life blood and our competitive point of difference from the beginning.
So, here we are with MKA Collective, a strategic partnership with Novella Brandhouse and Hermanos Architecture and Design, both top of the line Kansas City based companies.
It took us 20 years of dreaming and 18 months for fine tuning, and in May we officially launched MKA Collective, our collaborative, multi faceted, full service Food and Beverage Advertising and Consulting Agency.
There are now twenty two of us, each with our own unique experience and skill sets, working together across projects. That makes for a formidable team approach. And we are already busy! With four new projects in various stages of ex*****on and more coming into play, it seems to be the right path. Exciting Times!
