📣 Announcement

Heads-up everyone — our Internet connection is fully operational, but there’s an ongoing issue affecting Amazon Web Services (AWS). Many major platforms that rely on AWS are experiencing disruptions, which may explain why some of your apps or devices aren’t working correctly right now.

⚠️ Some of the services currently impacted:
• Ring Cameras (live view and notifications may not load)
• Snapchat
• Fortnite
• Robinhood
• Venmo
• Signal
• Reddit
• Duolingo
(and many others — AWS powers thousands of apps and websites)

✅ What You Need to Know:
• Your Internet connection is fine — the issue is not with your router or provider.
• The problem originates with AWS’s servers, primarily affecting the US-East-1 region.
• Many app providers are already aware and working with Amazon to restore full service.

🧭 What You Can Do:
• No action needed on your end. Just wait for affected services to come back online.
• If you rely on Ring or another critical app, check their official status page for updates.
• We’ll continue monitoring and will share updates as Amazon resolves the issue.

Maintain notice!

Some customers may see a decrease in internet speeds between 3PM and 6PM this afternoon. We are in the process of upgrading to a 10Gig fiber circuit. If you are have any questions please feel free to reach out by texting 660-200-6990.

Everyone should be back up and running. We have also implemented backup systems to prevent this type of outage from occurring again.

We have an estimated time of repair on the fiber of 10:15. That is only estimated! In the meantime I’m working on an alternative. Thank you for your patience.

We are aware of the outage effecting the butler area. I will post an update when the cause has been determined.

Update: My upstream fiber provider is down. I will post an update when I get notified.

We are currently experiencing an outage. We are investigating the issue and will keep you updated.

Update: We have identified that there is a cut on the fiber line that feeds our tower.

Update: The fiber cut was caused by a construction company along HWY 7. There are several cuts but crews are working on repairing the line.

Good evening, some of you may have noticed some short outages on the Butler network this afternoon and through to this evening. We had some emergency maintenance that came up and decided to do security updates in the process. I hope nobody’s workflow or Netflix was interrupted to much. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Good evening, I apologize for the issues we have been experiencing the past few night. It turns out that it is with our upstream fiber provider. Now that we were able to find out exactly what is causing the intermittent outages hopefully they will get it resolved in a timely manner. I will keep everyone posted when I have more information.

Maintenance Notice!!

We are in the process of implementing new servers, routers, switches and backup power supplies. Due to this some customers may experience some interruptions in service.

I apologize for any inconvenience. We try to do everything as late in the evening as possible to cause minimal disruption to everyone during regular business hours.
